Maruf Ahmed has worked in the corporate social responsibility industry for more than 21 years, including extensive field and management experience. An effective and knowledgeable trainer, Maruf has instructed and mentored many auditors, as well as delivering seminars to brands, suppliers, and other organizations. He provides ongoing technical guidance to clients, supporting brands and retailers with responsible sourcing in South Asia. As consultant, he has contributed to human trafficking and migrant labor research projects. He has oversight over quality and ethical practices for his team of local auditors.

Maruf is a Certified Social Compliance Auditor with APSCA, as well as a certified Lead Auditor for ISO 14001 (Environmental Management Systems). He has conducted over 2,000 social assessments, including Code of Conduct, C-TPAT, BSCI and environmental audits throughout Asia and the Middle East. Maruf is fluent in English and Bangla.
